Van Deursen Group has sold a majority stake in its Dutch fashion retail chains Shoeby and Lakeside, part of Van Deursen Retail BV, to Bencis Capital Partners and the management of Van Deursen Retail.
Lindenaar & Co acted as advisor to Van Deursen Retail in identifying potential buyers. Lindenaar & Co also co-ordinated the entire transaction process, including drafting of an LoI, company valuation, deal negotiations, due diligence co-ordination and closing of the transaction.

Shoeby is a nationwide store concept in fashion retail with both owned and franchise stores. The company has 205 Shoeby stores spread throughout the Netherlands and 5 stores in Belgium. Lake Side is a contemporary store format for ladies’ and mens’ fashion and a major player in the Dutch denim retail sector. The company has 72 stores spread throughout the Netherlands. Lake Side sells its own brands Refill, Construction, Winck and Sensation, as well as numerous other brands.
