Lyceo, together with its investor Capital A, has acquired Studiekring, a service provider of homework assistance, tutoring and exam training.
The acquisition of Studiekring fits within Lyceo’s strategy, as a result of which Lyceo strengthens its market-leading position in the market for educational support for secondary education students in the Netherlands.
Lindenaar & Co acted as advisor to the former shareholders of Studiekring, including Gimv and the founders of Studiekring, and coordinated the entire transaction process. The activities included preparing an information memorandum and financial model, identifying potential buyers, structuring the transaction, coordinating the due diligence investigation and conducting final negotiations regarding the transaction documentation.

Studiekring was founded in 2000 and has grown into one of the largest providers of homework assistance, tutoring and exam training for VMBO, HAVO and VWO in the Netherlands. Studiekring has more than 80 locations throughout the Netherlands and has its headquarter in Utrecht.
